Background

I am an undergraduate student taking the Life Sciences major with an interest in marine ecology. My interest began from the first time I explored an intertidal zone in Singapore a few years back, and I have since enjoyed learning about Singapore's marine fauna and flora from school and in the field.

Research Experience

My Honours Project involves the IUCN Red List of Ecosystems (RLE) framework and its application in the East Asian context. I aim to categorise coral reef ecosystems across East Asia according to their RLE risk status and, in doing so, identify spatial and temporal trends in the risk of coral reef collapse in the region. Apart from this, I gained minor experience in hard coral morphology and identification by working under the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum for their coral collection from 2024 to 2025.
